Food rescue, clothe donations, and upcycling items helps our community in many ways:
Lessens the environmental impact of wasting the water, land and energy that goes into making these products as well as keeping these items out of our landfills.
Gently used items are still good! It's a heck of a lot cheaper than paying full retail price and you never know the kind of gems you'll find in a thrift shop.
We begin to step away from irresponsible consumerism and place more value in our time, money and neighbor's in need.
Here are a few tips to help you with your donation:
Food: At the moment we are only taking dry goods. We cannot except expired food, food with packaging concerns.
Clothing: Be sure your apparel items are clean and in good condition (no stains, fading, or excessive wear.)
Furniture: Gently used please. HOWEVER depending on the damage - we love a good upcycling project. Let us know in the comments!
Appliances: Gently used, cleaned and still works.
